Default Converting Electronic exhaust cutout to Boost

Well I want to purchase a boost activated cut out. Unfortunatley, there is only 1 vender which sells it currently for 349 for the 3" version. The electronic ones sell for half the price but are known to have more issues. I love the idea that i dont have to flip a switch and once i hit 5-7 pounds of boost, the exhaust cutout will open like a wastegate. Is there any way to convert the 3" valve on those electronic ones to work with a boost actuator?

Thanks,

A pressure switch like this could be used to activate a circuit or relay. All the electric cut outs I looked at required you to release the switch once the valve was open or you risk damaging it. You would have to devise something to release the switch after it opened all the way. That is assuming you'll be in boost long enough for it to open all the way. The cut outs I've seen take several seconds to open, and I don't think it would open all the way in 1st through maybe 3rd gear in a boosted S that was bookin it through the gears. It could be made to work but it doesn't look to be as simple as opening and closing a switch on boost pressure.

Check out a company sold by jegs.com race ready

I've had it for about 4 years now and no problems that I didnt create. I smashed it against a speed bump somehow and broke the motor. They happily replaced it at no charge, great warranty! QTP is shit so avoid that at all costs.

The boost activated are annoying from my experience... When you're on the highway going 90 at 5k, barely accelerating hits boost and opens the pipe. Its like honking as you pass people, funny looks...

Cheers!

Nice info. I'll check it out but at 90 with light throttle, I don't hit boost plus it opens at 6-7 psi. So even with 1-6 pounds of boost, the valve won't open.
