dtms has autodown on his passenger side window. its VERY convenient. apparently a different motor (?) was installed to accomplish this. with his clifford IG8000, he's also got remote windows (all up and all down) which is too slick. I could yank his door off and take some pictures if you'd like.

Have all had auto down & auto up on the drivers window.

You guy's in the states must be getting the raw end of the deal here. In Australia our drivers door lock also unlocks the passenger door/doors from inside.

thanks for all the input so far.......

i spoke to my local service manager and he is only aware of the power top "lock-out" being connected to the parking brake.......i have a good relationship with him and he's gone ahead and ordered the parts for me on the premise that if this can't be done, he'll take 'em back............

even if i can get just the driver's side to be able to have one-touch for BOTH windows, i'll be happy.........as for the passenger........."f*ck 'em"

FWIW, when my driver's side window regulator stopped working (8 times, 8 replacements), i was still able to put the top up/down even though my driver's side window was FULLY up............so any "lock-out" feature that is window based, must be on the passenger side (that regulator has never failed).

There is a simpler solution which I have hooked up. It's a module made by DEI that adds the auto-down AND auto-up to both windows. And, when I arm the alarm, it automatically rolls both windows up. Pretty nifty..

Here's a link with information on the DEI module

Window Automation System

Integrate factory power windows with your security system, for convenient remote control operation. Roll up windows upon arming, or use an auxiliary channel to roll down or vent. May require additional parts or labor

true.... why do you want Honda to mess up the auto down feature on both your windows... they couldn't even get it right with just the driver side window!!!....

but actually, mine started working fine all of a sudden.... i think it only breaks when it gets extremely hot...

That's because we have more lawyers per capita than you do

Strange, my driver side window switch is auto up and down, has worked so far (touch wood) and given no problems. It's a shame that Honda didn't do the same auto up/dn swith for the passenger side.

Hmm... I wonder if (like Muz has done with the Convex mirrors) anyone could figure out if we can import some parts from overseas (e.g. Australia) that can be retrofitted to U.S. cars?

you dont need to go to that much effort. I'll locate the part - hopefully this week - and see what I can do about offering it to the community.
