Crank Pulley Failure
A fluid damper can't fail this way. Its an upgrade (less vibes sent to crank, can prolong engine life).
So if repeat failure is a concern (IMO it shouldn't be), upgrade pulley to fluid damper or other aftermarket internally damped product. It can't fail in manner original failed (there is no external ring or any moving parts save for internal damping goo), and it does the job of damping to a far superior degree.
