Default Is my motor dying?

Hi, for anyone who saw my last post. Totally the output shaft bearings. Planning on posting some videos to YouTube about my journey with this car.

after setting numerous things right in terms of the rear end, drive train etc. I moved onto the motor.

it is the original f20 was sent out to darton for dry sleeves, cp pistons, eagle hbeam rods. I was looking into the ap1 burning oil stuff, since mine was burning oil. Decided to do a compression test. Gauge shows 135 psi across all 4 cylinders. It’s the shitty harbor freight one. But I do trust my air compressor to tell me what’s what as well. Hooked the gauge up to that and tested it against a more accurate one. And it held true 100% of the time. I was pissed when I saw these numbers because my first though was rings. And pulling the head, and alllllll the kinds of things that make a man want to chug bleach. So looking for some advice here too.

I did put oil in cylinder 1 and that seemed to bring the psi up to 150. Alittle more, 155-160. But still nothing like a drastic jump. What’s surprising is that this is all so consistent. Along all cylinders. My thoughts immediately are to text the previous owner. Got the exact piston that went in the car. I already knew but had to make sure. Stock 11.0 compression.

im worried that the break in was bad maybe? Or I didn’t use the right oil or something. Gonna see about a leak down test too. I just did a valve adjustment though, and after that and a TCT quick fix the motor was silent as all hell with exception to the deceptive ass machine gun injectors in this car. That make it seem like noise is in the head.

when the piston rings were gapped by a machine shop in colorado, the prev owner told me that he mentioned to them that it would be NA for a bit l. But would be getting a turbo soon. Then the eventual selling to me happened before that. So my thoughts are did the machine shop gap the rings a bit further than what would be normal on NA, in anticipation of boost? How likely is that really. Or should I just accept my fate and assume the worst.

so combined with an oil leak from the bolt for the timing gear on the head, which I fixed when I last changed my oil. I pulled just over 4 quarts out of it. Chose Mobil 1 this time, and after adjusting the valves, changing the oil and getting rid of that leak, I have neither seen nor smelled oil. But I can’t rule it out because that may be just a matter of circumstance
