Default Crank pulley rotation

Hey fellas

Just a quick question, I heard the timing chain can skip teeth if rotated backwards. Just wondered if facing the crank pulley, what way it should rotate.

Iv currently got a long block out the car & would just be handy to know :0)

cheers guys

Standing in front of the crank pulley it should spin clockwise.

An easy way to remember this is you turn the crank pully bolt in the 'tighten' direction to turn the crank. It wouldn't make sense if you had to turn the bolt in 'loosen' direction to turn crank...
