Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum but this is my first 'howto' post
I have a 2005 Ap2 with cruise control and recently the cruise control wasn't working. The problem was the cruise control working and not pushing the pedal enough and in turn, not able to hold speed. This wasn't an electrical problem.
Also, I looked up everywhere and didn't find anyone facing this issue
I did some inspection and found that the contact point between the cruise control lever and the gas pedal was wrapped in plastic which broke. And the lever wasn't able to push enough.
I wasn't able to find the part number and did not know how to replace it so I got some electric wire shrink tube and simple wrapped over that broken plastic tab.
I have uploaded pictures and a link to the YouTube video of how I did it. It's very simple.
The contact point is where I applied the shrink tube

Thanks for this, going to check out mine. I have diagnosed every part of the CC system with the shop manual and even replaced the CC module with a known-good one to no avail.
