Default Cruise control not working

I have a 2006 S2000 with drive by wire.
The cruise control recently stopped working.
On occasion it would drop out of cruise if I hit a bump.
Then it stopped working all together.

When I press the button on the dash - it lights up.
But if I press set or resume on the steering wheel I get no throttle response.
Everything else works fine - lights, horn, etc

I searched the forums but found very little about non working CC in the drive by wire models.

Any thoughts of things to check?

Thanks

Kurt

Check the clip underside of steering column? Mine isn't DBW but when the CC didn't work I found that clip wasn't fully in.

First culprit is the plastic white button on the clutch pedal that activates the cancel switch. They get brittle and break, fall to the floor, rendering the cruise cancel switch inoperative.

You could get a stick-on cushion (computer monitor cushion feet) to fix it.

Good idea!
Had the one on the brake pedal go last year.
I hope that is it!

Looks like the white button broke, and was replaced with the black plastic tree clip. Be sure it is pushing the button all the way in while at rest.
