This is what I plan on using in the near future.It already comes with a manual removeable blocking plate. Think u can also buy the push button servo motor kit for it if u like.

That's not a bad idea but I have a feeling that muffler will still be pretty loud even when closed. And then its just not muffling it. Cuz the rest of the exhaust is stock

 

Have you checked with the track to see if they have noise restrictions?

 

Most tracks have noise restrictions of 105 dbl or maybe 100. I know SCCA has a restriction of 105. Some vehicles, like rx7's, have to run a canister to pass sound, but they probably wouldn't check if it's at a track day, I dono though. I think they make caps that go on the end of the pipe to block the flow, have you considered this instead of the deflecter? or maybe a piece that you take off by hand, or even have a connection just before the muffler where you can quickly and easily take the muffler off and replace it with a piece of exhaust pipe at the track? Just a thought.
