Default Cylinder Head Plug Leak

I appear to have a leak originating from the plug near the TCT; #8 on the parts diagram.

Is this simply a plug that I can remove and replace the seal? Or, does it have another function? The FSM and exploded part diagram seem to show a simple plug.

Thanks. I couldn't find this previously addressed, and would rather ask than pull the cover to inspect the inside.

I doubt your leak is coming from there, but if it is its a very simple fix. It uses an aluminum sealing washer just like the oil drain plug.

Your leak is likely coming from the chain case seal (big job to fix).

This leak is small, redundant, not harming anything.
