Cylinder Misfire.........

Thumbs up Cylinder Misfire.........

My check engine light came on and when I went to go check it out,it said cylinder 1-4 is misfirein.Can someone help me out on this problem.Also its an 01 S2.TIA

It could be anything, Take it to a shop and have them check it out.

pull valve cover off and look at valve spring retainers on intake side. I had one that all the retainers where bad. You'll see the valve keepers sinking in the retainers.

AND like Slow2K said could be anything.

Yep... could be anything.... but if you want to add another item to your checklist of things to verify, you could try the injectors. I've seen a couple of threads floating around where people were seeing misfire codes and the solution was to replace the injectors (or clean the fuel system in some other fashion).

try using fuel injector cleaner, if that fails change out your plugs make sure they are gapped properly, and also move your coil packs around and make sure that none of them are bad. IF all the is ok, then it could be some wiring if you ever messed with any wiring I would double check that.

same thing happened to me, turns out the intake valves for cylinders 1 and 4 are recessed... I have to open the head to find out the real problem...
