Funny. My roomates does this too. I'll have to show him this thread. Is this stickied somewhere? Seems like a common problem with a common answer. This should be put where someone looking can find this info easily.

looks somewhat normal to me... all the power is going to cranking the car, not enough juice left over to power the cluster all the way.

If I leave the car sitting for a long time, my car does the same thing. Otherwise it just dims when I crank it.

This is a very common issue to MY04-MY09. However, this also happens to some MY99-MY04 models as well. Few members have replaced the alternator and they have sort it out.

so replacing the Rectifier is the solution?
