Dash lights on until engine starts
When I turn on the ignition after a few seconds most the dash lights go out as expected, however I have recently noticed that the Battery, Oil and EPS lights stay on.
Straight away I checked the battery and oil level (something i do often anyway) and they were all ok. So I started her up and the lights instantly went out.
I drove around, got up to temp and no lights or issues came up (power steering worked fine too). Turned off, turned on and the same thing happened. Lights stayed on until engine was started then straight away they went out.
Does this always happen and I've never noticed before or do you think there is an issue (electrical or mechanical) somewhere?
All and any thoughts welcome, thanks.

This would be a good time to read your manual to figure out what lights mean what, and their on/off process, for future reference.
E.g. you'd want to make sure your air bag light is operating correctly for your own safety. Maybe pay attention to what a solid vs flashing CEL light means... Maybe even familiarize yourself with the oil light of death. These things can save your butt down the road.
