Default Denso Iridium Plugs Quick Question

HI,

quick question do i need to gap the denso iridium plugs before installing them? If so, Please tell me what to gap it at.

I talked to Erin who heads up their iridium project. He said that the stock gap is fine. Mine is at 1.1, and it's perfect.

Ideally you want as big of a gap as you can w/o fouling.

Stock is big enough, so there won't be need for more.

Which one's did you get? 24's or 27's?

You would see an improvement if you went to IK24's.

yep, they do not come pre-gapped... do a search, there's a great thread on gapping, etc...

I agree that if you live in a warm climate, the IK24's do run more consistently, but may foul out in really cold climates in a stock setup.

My Denso Iridiums weren't gapped anywhere close to the recommended range out of the box. They were somewhere around .030".
