Default Denso Plug failure

Been running the IK22 for about 20k.Developed a skip & hesitation.

One of the plugs "lost" it's tip.

I'm back with the NGK BKR7E and happy.

Do you have pictures? Did you have to adjust the gaps on your IK22's when you installed them?

I'm using the Denso IK22G with the even smaller 0.4mm electrode for about 1K miles now - no problem so far. I had to adjust the gaps and I did it very carefully. I plan to check on them again on my next oil change.

I chose Denso for iridium replacements because the original platinum plugs on my AP2 are also Densos.

No pix,but the point was gone.I checked the gap,but did not have to adjust. It was the back plug.

Some others have reported the same prob.

I like copper plugs better and they usually last about 15k and they are cheap.

That's just my opinion and my experience.

You have no curiousity about where the missing tip went or what it did?

JK. Its not too good to have a little piece of metal in the engine. I'd be worried about that.
