Default DId Compression Test and...

the results were

#1...250psi
#2...255psi
#3...255psi
#4...260psi

Seems PRETTY HIGH compare to what other ppl's test.(low 200s)
This is good thing right?
My car has 19000mile, never adjusted valve yet.

Just out of curiosity... what were the ambient temps when you did this? I've noticed that my numbers seem higher when it is cold out. Mid-summer (ambients in the 80-90 degree range) I had numbers in the 230-235 range. Today (ambient temps in the 50s), I had numbers in the 245-255 range.

If I wanted to test my engine condition, is compression test the best way to tell? Where can I get one done, and how expesive/complicated is it?

Best way to tell engine condition? Depends on what you're trying to diagnose. A compression test is a good way to confirm the condition of pistons, rings, and valves. Excessively low or different numbers between cylinders can indicate a problem with any of these things. Jwkim's numbers look excellent to me. You'll need an appropriate manual to give you the specs on the pressure ranges and allowable pressure differences between cylinders.

Any decent mechanic can do a compression test. It's not complicated at all. You pull the spark plugs, install the pressure gauge, turn the engine over through three or four compression cycles (most manufactures recommend WOT at this point too!) and read the gauge. I would hope that the S2000 wouldn't call for more than an hours shop time to do the job and any decent mechanic can probably do it a lot faster than that.

FWIW,

wow I guess this is why my numbers are higher than many other ppl's results.
It was around 30F when I ran the test.

I just did mine, it came out to 260psi all the way across, give or take leff than 5psi.
It was maybe 30 outside w/ engine warmed up.

Cool outside air temp mean the air is more dense. That's can't hurt. The engine should also be at or near normal operating temps because that insures that everything is warmed up and expanded to the tolerances that Honda intended for the engine to run at.
