Hasport makes (really nice) polyurethane mounts. If you don't mind the potential extra NVH, they would be the ones I'd go with.

I have the Hasport 62A (the softest they offer) and had zero noticeable increase in NVH, with a stock exhaust. Granted my stock ones were totally shot but it is still quite pleasant and I am very sensitive to NVH.

Hey there. Just checking in to see if you are still liking these diff mounts.

My OEM left side mount is leaking, so I am in the market for either a set of aftermarket mounts OR simply replace the failed mount with a single OEM mount.

The OEM route is ~$250CAD, and that gets me just the single part -- the rear mount itself.

My googling of "softest aftermarket diff mount for s2k that won't rattle the bones outta my body" has led me to these particular 62A Hasports. This kit gets me all 4 pieces obviously, and is ~$450CAD. This would *seem* like the obvious way to go, but my car nearly 100% street driven, but I do get out to the track 3-4 times a year.

Certainly NVH is very much subjective, everyone has different tolerances, cars are kitted out differently blah blah blah... but man, opinions are all over the place regarding just how harsh solid diff mounts are, even the 'street' rated ones.

Howdy. Its been about 2.5 years and 10k or so miles on them and I still have zero complaints. I tend to be pretty sensitive to NVH as well, which, like you said is subjective, but I really like them and they are quite a value by comparison. I too did a ton of searching because I really wanted the car to be tight, engaging, and just raw enough without going full on racecar and came to the same conclusion. The majority of my driving is straight highway cruising, parked between 65 and 85 mph, which is when these would be an issue but I can hardly tell and swear the tires contribute more than anything. The car will never be an S Class but it will not beat you up.

While I cannot compare to new OEM performance because mine were leaking when I bought the car, I really think this design of the of the originals is compromised to satisfy the average upper middle class North American consumer of the time who want cushy and quiet. Same goes for the engine mounts (if yours are original, I guarantee they are broken). This is not the kind of car that deserves a ton of flex, compliance, and comfort and I think the OE's allow too much.

I have since had the UK mod done to the stock exhaust and installed a high flow cat with zero regrets. My particular mount setup consists of the hasports and the Spoon engine and reinforced transmission mount kit and the drivetrain feel is just about perfect... the transmission brace that comes with it had the most surprising improvement and the price for it all is considerably cheaper than just the OEM engine mounts. My only gripe is that when cold, the vibration from the engine mounts is a bit excessive but once warm, you get a very pleasant buzz through the seat. You could be blind and deaf and still tell exactly what speed the engine is at without rattling your teeth. PS: order your aftermarket JDM parts from Japan through RHDjapan.com or blackhawkjapan.com and your OEM parts from amayama.com to save a ton of $$$. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the reply. This is excellent info.

However, because I needed some hub bearings and other OEM bits from Amayama, I added the OEM mounts to my cart while I was at it. All 4 diff mount pieces came to the same price as the Hasport set, so price was a wash. It's certainly possible I would prefer the Hasports over OEM, but I guess I'll never know!

thanks again for the info. I'm glad you're happy with the Hasports, and maybe your reply here will help someone else decide which way to go.

I'll add something to the mix. I just replaced the easily accessible mounts with Hasport 70A this past summer. After a season of autocross, there is no discernible difference to OEM EXCEPT there is a more audible "kathunk" from the rear when I set off. I may replace the rear mounts from the kit if I remove the exhaust this winter.
