Default diff problems

in MY01 im starting to hear a whine sounds as i decelerate or accelerate down a hill with the clutch pedal pushed in and in neutral...im taking its the diff. also my master cyl is leaking...again as well. what are signs of the diff blowing out and i also want to change my diff fluid. ive been reading around and i cant seem to find a good diff fluid. temp ranges around my area are 20 degrees winter and up to 95 in the summer. whats a good all around diff fluid. thanks for your help in advance. i have 59k on my car as well

i think 75-90 works well. I put in mobil 75-90 last time.

Drain the fluid and take a look. If the diff is goign you will see lots of metal shavings in the fluid.

not trying to be a jerk, the answers to most of your questions can be found in the FAQs, DIY, and Maintenance thread
