Default Diff And Transmission intervals?

Ok this is a noob question but i did seach for the answer and could not find any thing. I looked in the owners manual as well. I was going to change the diff and tranny fluid every 20k miles. Is that a good amount or should i wait longer or do sooner. I do my oil every 6-7k right now. Also why do you have to change the washer every time any one know any info on this??? I was looking at starting to use Royal puple for every thing except the tranny was sticking to MTF by Honda due to the fact i can't find a tranny fluid by Royal Purple. Right now i use Penz synthetic but think why not use Royal Purple if i don't change my oil but every 6-7k miles or 6 months. Let me know what you guys think thanks for the help

I change mine about every 15k. It is an easy job so I don't mind doing it. 20k shouldn't be a problem.

I use GMSMFM for the tranny and LE 1607 (I think that is the right number) for the diff.

You change the washer every time because its aluminum and it flattens out when you crank the bolt down to keep the seal tight. I think you can order them in bulk from hardtopguy.com for dirt cheap.

Better safe then sorry IMO

change fill and drain washer every time. not absolutely required, but recommended.

manual has some crazy high interval of 60k or 90k. I change about every 15k. honda mtf and mobil 1 75w90. cheap, works perfectly, and easy to find.

Ive reused my washers for the past 4 changes or so... I clean it up to make sure its not cracked. Plus, I dont tighten it outrageously.

I change my transmission every engine oil change (3-5K miles) and I change my diff every 2nd oil change: so ~6-10K miles.

^^ Dam i use to do that with the Evo. But im going to send my oil in this time wiht a 7k mile change to see how it holds up. Im buying all the wahers here there real cheap so im buying some for the future. Still not sure if im going to switch to Royal Purple or not its pricey but i use to use it in my evo. And i would beat on that thing every day and it never broke on me and it had 93k miles on it

^I used to run RP, the engine was quieter but I quit using it because I heard that RP doesnt stand behind their product: If your engine quits because of oil, they dont help you out at all...at least use amsoil or redline. With Redline, it was as quiet, if not quieter than royal purple (compared to M1, M1EP).

IF you can get the washers thast great, but I always forget to order them...
