Default How soon can I change my Trans./Diff. Fluid to syn.

I know I'm supposed to wait until 7K miles to change the engine oil to synthetic, but was wondering if there is any reason I shouldn't go ahead and change my tranny and diff now (at 1.5K) or at the first oil change (3,750). Was planning to go Redline - MT-90 and 75W-90.

Thanks for the feedback!

bkincaid- I changed my oil at 2750 miles. Too mobil 1. I changed my tranny at 11,000 miles along with my diff. too REDLINE. I feel that it's alot better. I am now running REDLINE 10w 30 in it and not one problem at all. Thow it seems to burn the REDLINE more than the mobil 1 when I'm out racing the heel out of my car. Hope that helped.

Thanks!!!, it does.... I guess what I was specifically wondering was wether or not there is a "break in" period for the tranny and diff much like the engine, or can you change those fluids right away....

thanks..

Actually as you failed to follow the manufacturers direction it will now burn Mobil One or anything else as your skirt seals have not seated. The infamous break in oil is high in Molybdenum.....seals up those nasty skirt rings.

P.S. As far as the tranny change away.

The car dosent do it unless I drive around at 8000rpm all the time. Any car that you would rip the hell out of all day long will burn some oil. On every day driving and around town stuff NO it's not what your thinking.

Thanks Utah on the reply re: the tranny oil. Is the same true for the differential fluid? Any reason not to change that right away?
