LE-1605 is only thick in very cold temps, I would use a 75w90 if you are using the car in cold weather. In warm temps the fluid is perfect for what Honda recommends.

If you get to highway speeds like 75 MPH for any lenght of time the diff will get hot, no matter how cold it is outside.

I just found that Mobil 1 just do the 75-90 and 75-140 I confirmed that on the website. There's no 75-110 bottle.

I'm looking foward to buy AmsOil severe gear 75-110, or buy online the LE 1605

its actually 80w90, so its a little thicker than the 75w90 that is recommended. le-1605 is a great fluid and i use it in my s2k all yr round.

Hmmmm.......

Actually......

#1 - LE-1605 is a single grade SAE 110 gear oil.
It has no "W" rating.

#2 - 80W-90 and 75W-90 are both within the SAE 90 range when hot (@ operating temp)
This could mean the 75W-90 is thicker (its a range).
Without the specs you can't tell.

#3 - In every S2000 manual the recommended diff oil is SAE 90 GL-5 (GL-6) hypoid gear oil.

Just to give you something to think about: No, SAE 110 is not too thick for the diff.
The "old" SAE 90 had a wide range covering the "new" SAE 110.

Oh well......
