i'm planning on getting a new diffrential, because my current one has problems, i have a ap1 2002 with 4.56s.
will a 2005 ap2 differential fit my car, i'm planning on changing the gear over to the new one.

What is wrong with your old diff? Asking since moving the old gears to the new diff may bring the problem with it.Yes and ap2 diff will fit. You do have to change the flange to the tranny though.
i have 4.77s and there is no problem and no whine. the 4.56s are going to be the loudest of all to my knowledge, is that the extent of the problem? moving your 4.56s to the ap2 housing might be a tad stronger though but i'd just get a comptech reinforced differential, not as strong as a puddy differential but it's not too costly...
my differential is making a whining sound and i don't know if its the shiminig or the lsd, also there is a click sounding when i turn right.
so the ap2 differential just bolts on to the ap1 driveshaft and all bolts fit with no problems?

You know that loud whine is normal for 99% the 4.56 gears out there.
The installer makes all the differance in the world when it comes to gear installation. I have heard 4.44 that we louder than a 4.57 gear set. I have also heard a 4.56 that could not be heard.

after the installation of the gears , few weeks later i did a couple of burn outs and the whining sound started so i took it to the mechanic that installed it and he said that the bearing inside were like not shiny, but it was not chewed up.
he changed the bearings and the noise was still there, and a year later i have launched it several times and the same noise still there, like i stated before there is a clicking noise when i turn right, i don't know if its because the lsd is locked.

Actally that is a bad general statement. It was more true of a bad installation that anything else. The 4.57 made more noise then the 4.56 gears did.
You know, that is not something we had ever really heard reports of. I find it strange that a 4.56 is louder than a 4.57. The tooth count is so differant (4.56 is about the same as stock ring/pinion) . It really makes no sence at all.
But with the Puddy gears (457) being quite and yours (456) louder, that shows how well he isntalls a set of gears.
I know that all of the gear sets we isntalled and shipped, I don't remember any reports. Surely not like the 4.57 reports.
