Default AP2 diff in AP1 car?

me and my mechanic are running into a lil trouble with the diff swap, how is it possible to get the ap2 diff into ap1 car?

the ap2 diff uses a slightly fatter bolts then ap1..

You should have used search brfore you started the project. This has been discussed many times before. You have a couple of options. Your first one is to change the input flange (AKA companion flange) to the Differential. Your second option is to get an AP2 driveshaft and change the output flange of the transmission

yep you need the ap1 flanges

Or you can take of you driveshaft and bore the the holes out at a machine shop to fit m10x62x1.25 socket head bolts. THe '00-'03 uses m8x65x1.25 I believe

well, i asked the seller, i guess he was uninformative.. oh well, i guess my diff job will be delayed, wasted alot of time on this project...

All you do is take that black deal that the driveshaft bolts up to off the ap1 and put it on the ap2, it took me2 minutes to get it ready for the swap.
