I've been told once you put the diff fluid in you really don't have to worry about changing it. Change maybe 30,000 miles or so. Most will change more often though.

That seems like a contradiction. Don't need to change it, but change it every 30k miles. Maybe you mean it will take garage queen owners a long time to accumulate that many miles? Some of us actually drive our cars.

I change my 03 Trans & diff fluids every spring regardless of miles.

Fluid is cheap. Why not do it often?

^I change my diff and trans fluid once a year in the Spring. I believe the manual says the diff should be every 15k miles and the trans every 30k miles, but as cheap and easy as it is, I do it once a year (I average 10k miles a year). Oil gets changed twice a year regardless of mileage (Spring and Fall).

Trans - Honda MTF
Oil - Valvoline High Mileage Synthetic Blend
Diff - Mobil 1 75W90 or 75W140/Valvoline Gear Oil 75W140

Diff is 30k and transmission is 120k according to manual. 15k dif and 60 trans for severe driving.

diff = Lubrication Engineers 1605, spring

Trans = OE MTF in spring and fall

The mobil 1 75w90 is good. I currently have it in my diff. But my next change, I'm going to switch it to amsoil.

Is you track the car, shouldn't the 75w110 be better than the 75w90?
