Challenge: show us an S2000 (owners/service) manual recommending something other than "1999 style" SAE 90 GL5 for the diff.

It was the Hypoid Gear Oil SAE 90 GL5 that I bought #08294-P9901HE
It's not the same thing as HGO-3?

Which ever one is easier for you to get. Can't go wrong with any of those fluids.
I agree, I haven't had any problems with the Mobil 1 and plus it can be bought rather easily at any auto parts store.

I asked the guy at Honda the same question .. He then showed me on the pc that it comes up as HGO-3 .

Did the replacement yesterday .. accidentally dropped a small rubber pipe into the diff which slipped off of the syringe, 3 hours later I got it out.. Lol ..

But now running beautifully .

So the last time I went to Honda here I Asked for their S2000 Diff oil . Aaaand they came out with this.. at the same price.

Today I went in to get another bottle for my own car.. And they asked me if it's the HGO-3 which i recalled for my previous purchase... and seems they are the same thing ???

This Bottle doesn't say the SAE90 GL5 on the bottle.

But it's the same bottle of golden magic in the same container for the same price ? and now looking at the online stores... all the ones that say HGO-3 GL5 Hypoid Gear oil (for S2000) show the same SAE90 label as I put above . ??

Anyone that can refute this?

Is the part numbers the same?
Without any SAE viscosity number I would be a bit hesitant using that.
I think I've seen a thinner HGO that was SAE75W-85 which shouldn't be used on a S2000.
