I have noticed that over the past 3 years that whenever just barely taking off or reversing (from a dead stop), that i can hear a good 3-5 "clicks or ticks" that seem to come from the rear diff. Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

Just some notes:
My has has 80k, tein S techs, and STOCK OEM diff and an unaware if the previous owner had installed an aftermarket LSD or gears. i know it's unlikely, but possible, since the car DID have a few aftermarket pieces when i purchased it).

what MY is your S?? The differential is quite infamously the weakest spot on our cars, but I'd say if the problem presists, get it looked at...

 

3 years you've been having this problem?

Have you looked at the fluid? Have you changed it?

 

replace and retorque your axle nuts. you can get a set HERE.
