i good sized breaker bar smacked with a mallet does the job that an impact wrench would do and it is substantially cheaper.

regarding bolts/nuts, from what i can recall the four going from bottom are easily accessible. the harder ones are the nuts on the four studs coming out the aft end of the differential, i ended up ripping the studs out with seized nuts that i had to purchase at honda. of course there are the halfshaft nuts/bolts and should not have too much torque on them 'cause of their size. the lower ball joints need to be popped off (the castle nuts), and the prop shaft allen head screws.

i'm sure there must be install guides kicking around here or s2kca or something...

a side note, you're using six-point sockets/wrenches not 12-point ones right?

I don't pop the ball joints. Pull the axle bolts, and the prop shaft bolts. Remove the rear diff mounts and then the four bolts that hold the diff to the front mounts. Once you do that you can wiggle the diff side to side and pull the axles out with a prybar..gently. I can swap it in about an hour with a jack and a few sockets.

Was really easy to swing them out of the way with using a ball joint poper. Comes right out and the axles can swing out of the way. The diff driveshaft allen head bolts were the biggest pain. Had to saw 2 of them out.
