Well, after months of waffling on this, I finally pulled the pin. The bumper is at the painters now. Great pricing from Hardtopguy. I saved about $1000.00 Can by not buying all the parts locally. (I'm only doing the bumper conversion with lip.)

shaving that upper corner of the bumper is a bitch!! I tried hammering, thinking it'd be much easier. Turns out, high-strength steel is stronger than my hammer... Thank god for dremmel

I'm going to use an angle grinder. It'll make mince meat out of that thing.

I was waiting to see how the ING+1 front bumper was going to be priced. Then I discovered it was just too much for the "real" one, so I waited for the clone. When that came about, the whole deal sounded too fishy, so I went back to the OEM upgrade.
The painting should be done in a week or so. Won't get it one for another week or so after that. I've started a thread about it in my own regional forum, so I'll most likely post the results in there.

i just finished my installation and wow did i find a better way to do it. NO cuttin involved and looks a lot cleaner. just had torouble openin the damn sockets b/c my 10 metrics teeth were all gone. i will post a detailed describtion once i come back sunday

quite old this thread. but with the AP1>AP2 headlight conversion...if i use the AP1 ballasts would i need to modify and of the sockets or plugs for it to fit the AP2 housing or is it all plug and play?
