DIY: Checking CELs without a scantool
[CODE] I keep searching for this myself so I thought I'd type it up for everyone to see. As with all DIY, these are just suggestions on checking the DTC that worked for me, use at your own risk. Pictures will come once I get my camera back (next week). Thanks to Modifry whom I got the idea from.
To check trouble codes without a scan tool:
1. Turn off the car and ignition.
2. Locate the OBD II port by the passenger footwell.
3. The corner pin closest to the transmission tunnel and to the front of the car needs to be grounded. I use a small wire from the pin closest to the tunnel to the 4th pin (from the one closest to the tunnel) on the next row.

Oh yeah, Xviper,
The manual differentiates between 1 and 10, and I think 6 and 60. I wasn't sure which to put in as 1-0 and 6-0 so I chose one. If its the wrong one let me know and I'll change it.
