You guys should put one right in the middle of the steering wheel.

That would be a bit difficult, especially getting the wheel to turn afterward, and still have an electrical contact to the light. The fatory does this with the SRS cable reel, but they don't put any extra wires in there. Or you wire it in like a drag racer using a throtle stop or a trans brake, and stick a cord on the outside of the column. Not the prettiest of installs.

Shift Light - On w/out Gel Cover


You can change the bulb inside of the shift light with a blue colored bulb in conjunction with the blue lens to reduce the brightness. I'm going to do this when i go to to the parts store.

I put mine in the same place you put yours swtazn97

I got a proform w/ a dial in the back that you can turn to select what RPM to come on at. I personally like the Amber light to blind me for a second.
