Default DIY TCT

Hey everyone, I have tried a search for this topic and could not find what I am looking for.

I was hoping I could get a detailed DIY for installing/un-installing a timing chain. Something that includes pics, tools needed, etc. Also I heard it takes very little time to complete and it isn't very difficult, is this true? I'm not to mechanically inclined so I don't want to get in over my head.

Thanks for the help.

My S2000 doesn't make the "card in a bike tire" noise. Just a awful noise at start up for about 3 seconds and then its over. Like this >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=70hDPdXzmDo do you think this is the same problem?

I couldn't make anything of your vid, but the sound a bad TCT makes is unmistakeable.

Sounds like this

My car doesn't make that noise. My car sounds like I am trying to start it while it's already running.

if thats the case its a possibility that the starter solenoid is remaining engaged for a second and not retracting. you may need a new starter, but dont replaced based on this diagnosis, i am only guessing at this point without looking at your car

Scubba I'd say you have a sticky starter bendix.

If you're slick, you can remove the starter and grease the teeth, it will likely cure it.
