To make the "tool" to hold the nut you can also take a regular old wrench, heat it, and bend it at the right angle. Nice writeup!

what's the general opinion on having HONDA do it? I'm debating. I don't really have the technical skillz to try and atempt it, and the dealership says it's not that expensive.
But i've heard that you should only have a trusted mechanic do it, because other's may be "sloppy"...

Isn't the firing order wrong? 1-3-4-2 Why are you adjusting it different order than the firing order?

Do honda recommend the valves are adjusted at 100/110k miles? I know its good practise to check but is this the recommendation

good thing you used a ratchet and not a breaker bar like i do to turn the crank pulley.

it also says to turn the crank pulley counterclockwise.

you should turn it clockwise to keep the correct firing order. our engines turn clockwise.

some people might want to turn counter-clockwise to make it easier to turn(no compression), but if you do this, you will have to go backwards(1-2-4-3)

or you can just take out your spark plugs and go clockwise to make it easier
