do denso iredium spark plugs fit on my stock s2k?
i bought these high preformance spark plugs called denso iredium racing from a pro car shop and he says that they fit no prob......................................but..... !!! i went to the dealers to install them and they said that they fit but they are not the same number as the stock ones ,so i told him can i install it ? he said yes but it may damage the engine
not really beliving wat the dealers said i went to a local tuning garage and asked him ,he says that if install them and they run fine from the begining they r alright but if u experince shaking then it damages the engine so they wont fit
so my question is should i install them on my stock s2k or not?

What a wonderful tuning garage If it fits in the whole, crank it up. Your engine might blow up, though, but go ahead and give it a shot. Translation: "It's not MY car!"

There isn't really a performance benefit so I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about this.
As for whether the spark plugs "fit"... I'm sure they fit but you mechanic probably noticed they are a different heat range. This doens't mean that they won't mechanically fit into the engine, just that their specifications are not recommended from Honda. If they are a heat range cooler, then they are more likely to foul from a rich mixture. If the plugs foul then there is a probablity of engine failure. As I type this I realize that it all sounds very scary and serious, but it really isn't. Again, this is a "performance" item that probably isn't worth the effort, especially if your car is otherwise stock.

The proper iridium plugs do a fine job and some of us prefer them. There is no danger to your engine if the right plug is used and installed correctly.
The IK22's (some like the 24's which also work ok) gapped to about .040 and torqued to 18 lbs. is a very good solution and in my car provide better idle and response than what it came with.
There are plenty of threads on the subject.. here is one:

.. and one of these 'expert' posters can explain how a properly installed plug can hurt an engine.. BS IMO.

IK22's are the same heat range as stock, IK24's are one step colder. The stock plugs are Denso PK22's (P=platinum).
IK16 sounds like a bad idea.
