Default Do Early S2Ks have a different EVAP System?

I went under my 2000 S2000 to change some of the evap valves at the charcoal canister. I wasn't getting any codes, but the car smells like gasoline when it warms up. I pulled off the shield with the three bolts, the one before the driver-side wheel well (the only one there was) just behind the driver's seat. I DID NOT find the rectangular charcoal canister seen on YouTube videos. Instead, I saw the following in the attached 22-second video. It looks like two different canisters with no valves or electrical connectors. How could I miss what is seen on other evap-related videos? Am I blind or might an early S2000 have a different evap system? The car wasn't on a lift but jacked up with barely enough space to move.

Thanks

Not sure what version of the S2000 you have there in Armenia (your profile) but this thread has lots of clues for several versions of the car. It's a "mod" thread started by a highly skilled and well respected member. There are a couple of diagrams of US and UK cars that may prove helpful.

Hi Chuck, I picked up the car from Dubai, where it was first purchased and lived for its first 17-18 years. Nothing on this car was modified. Again, unless I am blind, maybe there was an earlier evap system, or maybe because the car was destined for Dubia, it may have had a different evap system. However, I have not seen any indication of another AP1 evap system. It would probably have been noted in the repair manual. Thanks for the thread tip.

US cars are different and it looks like yours could be an European version https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-car...__0400/3/20727

The plumbing in the link you sent look like what I have! You may have solved this issue. I was going down the path of Saudi/Gulf import requirements being different, it being so hot there, but I think you may have solved this mystery!

Greatly appreciated!
