Default Do i need a new clutch??

Hi,

I have a 2003 , When i depress the cluth pedal there is a creaking noise . I took it to the dealer service and they greased some parts and that did not fix it. They are telling me to leave the car so they can get down the tranny and now for sure what's happening . But i don't want to leave it there.

Factors:

I Drag race a lot 2 days a month since january '03 (No clutch drops , rolling starts).

Some of my friends are telling me to replace the stock clutch with an aftermarket one(CFT , ACT , CM) and save me future problems again with the clutch.

It wouldn't be a problem with the clutch itself (disk, pressure plate, flywheel, or throwout bearing), but maybe the pedal, master cylinder, slace cylinder, or release mechanism.

after my car is warm, i get a similar thing- kinda like stepping on a small mouse. i feel a bit more resistance in the pedal and it makes a very slight squeak. dealer said there is a tsb, but i cant find it. havent had mine fixed yet, but it is annoying!
