Default More clutch issues

Nearing the end of my warranty and the clutch continues to worry. I have the ringing again even though they did the fix long ago. My main gripe is a squeak and slight binding in the pedal action. The dealer has replaced the entire assembly from the master to the slave and the line. What are they missing? Generally I have been well served by this dealer...and I was told in no uncertain terms by a neighboring dealer "don't bother us".

Bob, I don't know if what I'm about to say will allay your fears but .............
The ringing is just the clutch "buzz" that has returned. The TSB fix is no guarantee that it will stay away for good. The ringing is just a "harmonics" that starts in the tranny and is relayed to the clutch disc springs. It is only a noise and is in no way detrimental to the functioning of the clutch. I've had this ringing since day one and my car is nearly 3 years old. The clutch is fine.

I'm going to take an educated guess that the squeak is simply the clutch pedal pivot point that needs a bit of grease. Again, just a noise and shouldn't be a detriment.

As for the slight binding, I have this too and have had for the whole time I've owned the car. Now, that is NOT to say the binding is a good thing for your car as I'd have to be there to make that judgement.

My description would be something like pushing the pedal and feeling a kind of ridge or point of unusual resistance, like having to push past a small obstacle.

Yo xviper, You talked a little bit about throwout bearings on a different thread some time ago. The bearing on my 03 makes a little bit of noise that goes away when the pedal is pressed in. Is this normal? Is this a characteristic of the s2k? The sound is no louder than the 6 speed transmission that has a normal sound to it. By the way, my clutch works beautifully, no noise and smooth.
