I do not agree. Honda is quite clear on this, and the pictures quite compelling. I for one will stick with a non-silicate, whatever color I happen to use. Why not just stick with Honda's? Who knows if low silicate is low enough - what does aluminum compatible mean? Chemically compatible, sure. But it is the erosive properties of silicates that Honda is trying to avoid. I have seen plastic water pump impellers shot peened into the hereafter by the "sand" in silicates.
Whatever you do, if you plan to switch to the G5 or Toyota's, makes sure you flush very well - there is a risk of gelling from using different coolants, esp. in the tight inner recesses of the radiator.
It is not worth the risk in my book, and the pre-mixed Type II is convenient.

1) drain it
2) fill with demineralized water
3) run for 100 miles or so to ensure that the water has been through the system many times
4) drain
5) if there is a hint of color go back to 1)
6) fill with a silicate free fluid at a 50/50 ratio with demineralized water
Don't do the above if the temperatures are anywhere near freezing. Of course before doing this check to see if the stuff that you put in is silicate free. You may have gotten lucky.

Go to a Honda motorcycle dealer and buy Pro-Honda HP coolant. It's a silicate free, 50/50 blend with purified, de-ionized water.
Tap water can be corrosive.
