Do you remove the converitable w/ a hardtop?

If you get an hardtop do you remove the whole convertaible system for it?

You can if you want to permanently remove the soft top and the motor, in order to permanently have a hardtop. But if you just wanna pop it on and off for the winter months, you do not have to.

I can though for weight reduction right? The whole system has to weight a decent amount.

you won't save that much weight. you have to factor in the weight of the hardtop, 40lbs also. even if you lose a minium of 60lbs for the softop, you really only save 20lbs, which is alot. weight reduction is found the most in the exhaust system...
