Does oiled air filter foul sensor?

FYI K&N put twice as much oil on their filters to determine if it caused a problem, no problem. Sometimes the sensors just go, and shops blame KN but there is no confirmed case. I run oiled filter without issue and I always over oil. Can never have too much lube
