You sure about that? I thought the 1, 1.5 and 2 way styles of diffs all used ramped clutch packs. As sfphinkterMC said, it's not really an LSD at all but torque sharing. I guess you could say it only shares torque when there is torque (under acceleration or deceleration).

The real issue with a Torsen is that it is a torque ratio device. If one wheel has little traction it will transfer X times that torque to the other wheel. IE, if the ratio is 3:1 and the left wheel looses traction it will transfer 3X (or 75%, 3:1 is the same as 75%:25%) the torque to the other wheel.

But what happens if one wheel has 0 traction! 3 x 0 is still zero. That's why Torsens are not used in offroad vehicles (except with traction control or secondary locking mechanisms). Because one wheel off the ground would result in no torque to other wheels.

Shouldn't really be an issue with an S2000 as you'll never have a wheel off the road for long. If you do you've got much bigger problems. Even a slipping wheel has a certain amount of traction.
humvees have 3 torsen differentials. in the manual, it says if one wheel lifts, simply lightly press on the brake pedal to get torque to the other wheels.

mind you, H2s do not have anything close to this. I don't even know if the commercial H1 does.

I believe an LSD can be a Torsen, Positraction_Traktion-Lok, Detroit Diff, etc - it describes a functionality, not a specific engineering solution.

There is not such thing as a GL-6 - it was spec considered but never approved by the API.

Here is a little ditty I posted a while back, that has become somewhat popular:
