No CEL (check engine light) during all of this?
What fuel have you put in?
With "skip" you mean holding back?
So you're driving around in 1st or 2nd at 1500 rpm, then you floor it and then the engine holds back before the car accelerates?
When it does accelerate, it smoothly goes all the way to 9000 rpm?
How does the AEM filter look?
Clean?
I would start with the plugs too, as mentioned.
Get an OEM oil filter if the plugs were not OEM.
15400-PCX-004.
And check the trottle cable play.

no cel light at all

What fuel have you put in?
just the normal unleaded sold over here noting else

With "skip" you mean holding back?
yeah holding back when i put foot down

So you're driving around in 1st or 2nd at 1500 rpm, then you floor it and then the engine holds back before the car accelerates?
exactly
When it does accelerate, it smoothly goes all the way to 9000 rpm?
its perfect normally this only happens the odd time but when it does happen if i dont clutch it in straight away and gas it it will wont be smooth no!

How does the AEM filter look?
Clean?
yea clean enough, its a huge pipe that comes from throttle body to the bottom of bumper

I would start with the plugs too, as mentioned.

You say it has a aftermarket intake.

The problem sounds like it could be a vacuum leak. check for that as well.

Ive never had a vac leak on my S, but on my camaro, the PCV valve hose was torn. It would run fine msot of the time for some reason, but when it got warm/hot/idle starts to drop, the Idle air control would try to bump idle, then it'd get too high, drop idle, etc etc.

When I fixed that, it drove perfectly fine.

I cant say for sure thats what it is, but cant hurt to check all hoses for tears/connections, etc.

If you had bad plugs, it would most likely report a misfire in your ECU. When my car had a plug wire loose, it reported it as a misfire... This also DOESNT happen @ WOT right?

Are your fuel injectors clean/not leaky?

---by the way...

I just read your new post. it sounds like you're talking about your engine bogging down! Its normal since we dont have much torque, and using a big fat air intake will usually drop your torque so it will make the problem more noticeable. If you clutch in, rev it to ~2K, and ease it in, its fine, right? its only when your RPMs' are low...

Check to make sure all your plugs are in tight!!!!

Especially if you havent changed them yet and will be driving it between then and now.

if im not mistaking our cars produce like 50hp at this range and virtually no torque, nothing till you hit 23mph in first then its all peachy. i personally dont think its anything to worry about
