Ducting to Diff?
Truth be told the S2000 rear does not have a heat problem for say. It does not boil oil or
it out like the Nissan R200. I have ways to fix the R200 from boiling oil
Duct or venting to the rear can’t hurt but, may not be a necessary for the S2000.
And yes, the 4.57 likes to sing

Nice work PuddyDad!
Are the original 4.57's (7:32) still available, as in new, never used?

Long time ago I took some temp readings in these spots.
A (both sides) = 63,5 C. (average)
B (both sides) = 62,8 C. (average)
C (both sides) = 61.8 C. (average)
D = 65,4 C.
E = 69,8 C.
This was right after a 37 km spirited
drive.
Outside temp at the time was 22.4 C.
E was the hottest as there was a little bit of oil around the fill plug so the heat transfer was best.
These temps are no problem IMO.
Diff water is... haha!
Yeah I know.. its getting old.

The reason I was asking was I was planning on making rear brake ducts as I have a front BBK. This was the pads should be at a more even temp s the rears are small and non-vented. I was thinking I could buy one of those scoops with dual 2.5" outlets, and direct the remainder to the diff.
I would think that cooling the rear brakes may prolong the life of the wheel bearing/hubs. Although I never took temps to evaluate the diff, front to rear, I've touched the rear wheels after spirited driving and they were hot, as the front wheel was near ambient temp.

4.57... I wish my diff sang... I do too much highway driving though. The only things that sing in my car are me and Miley Cyrus.
