Imo snorkels don't do anything - when you are moving the cold air is already effectively shunted to the airbox - its like putting a tube in a tube to direct air where its already going. Stock is actually a well-designed system.

I also do not like snorkels because all of the ones that do not need hood cutting, are pinched really thin just so the hood clears. In my opinion having an unmodified airbox is better than having one with a snorkel that is pinched that migh actually reduce airflow instead of improving it. If I did anything, I would get an AUT cooling panel. I had one with my OEM airbox and it seemed to get less heatsoak on really hot days.

I guess when buying ebay usdm>jdm. Or even the Hong Kong knock off for that matter. I just don't like waiting 2 weeks to get parts.

Every dyno is different, it is perfectly normal to see 20-30hp differences between dyno's. Thats why no one cars about comparing their dyno numbers.

There are 2 million people in Vancouver and all I've given up is my age Eistein. The only cars worth stealing are the nicest ones, and they're the ones plastered all over galleries with people spotting them and posting locations.

I've spent plenty of time on dyno's with my S13's and it is common knowledge that there is HUGE variation between dyno's. I've seen cars put down 400+ on mustang dynos and just over 300 on dynojets. Get your head out of your ass.

Everyone knows comparing dyno numbers is completely pointless. Its all about performance, dyno's provide a base for tuning and comparison between mods but it should never be a means by which to compare 2 vehicles.

Every dyno is different but not that off. What do you know about mods or power or even dyno's? Looks like your cars still (189hp stock). go do something with your car, then come back and chat with us big boys..

I CALL BS..Your wrong about that HP. I have an AP2 and only made 189hp on the dyno stock. I work and own AP2's. Here I will even post up my dyno from when I installed an APEXI NEO and had it tuned. ( Before/STOCK and After Tune ) SHOW ME A STOCK 210HP AT THE WHEELS AP2
Lots of fail here.

One - you are quoting a SIX YEAR OLD post.
Two - Yes, AP2s do make around 200-210 on dynos stock
Three - yes, all dynos are different, and none effectively manage an induction system like the S2000's, which is designed to work at speed, not sitting still. Unless your dyno has an ~$8,000 wind generator to replicate 100 mph wind across the car, you're not getting true power results.
Four - You DO NOT post people's private information on the threads, even if it is in their profile - that's just bad mojo.

Based on all this, I'm not going to assume you know this, so I'll just say it for everyone's benefit - dynos are for measuring differences in power more than they are as accurate for showing what power you have. By showing your car before and after parts and tune, you know they were effective at making more power on your car - don't transfer that as any kind of factual information about all S2000s, all dynos, all cases, etc.
