ECU choice for my setup
I would really appreciate ANY help you guys can offer on my setup.
SO far:
Mugen CAI
J's header
Amuse dual
The car feels a lot more torquier (sp?) than stock but I have been given the advice that the J's header could be making my car run too lean. Now I don't want to hurt the engine obviously so would like to use an ECU that would work well this setup.
I have been told that a Mugen ECU would run too lean for this setup and that I would need a programmable ECU option.
My questions to you guys:
1 - COuld I be hurting the performance or the engine with the setup above with stock ECU?
2 - What would be the ideal ECU to use with this setup?
Any other advice would be extremely welcome...

Who told you that Mugen ECU will run too lean with your setup? It will be leaner than how it was, but too lean!?? As long as you keep using 92+ octane gasoline, you will be fine w/ Mugen ECU. However, for your setup, all aftermarket ECU will do the work.
with your setup, you don't need to worry about if one is hurting your engine as long as you install it in a proper way.
My old setup was Mugen ECU, Mugen CAI, Spoon Header, and Amuse dual, BYS testpipe. It ran perfectly..!!
I would still suggest you to go for the Mugen ECU. Plus, I never hear any one with any problem by using Mugen ECU.

can someone explain to me why you would buy an entirely new ecu , which is not even tuned to your individual engine???
i dont know howmuch the mugen ecu costs, but if its anything like other mugen stuff its probably a rip.
If your up for it, buy an aem ems and and properly tune it, you will get more gains than any aftermarket non programmable ecu.
