JUst received a SA2000 that will be used for a kit car, was looking at the numbers on the engine and the ecu, the engine looks like its a 02 and the ECU has a date of 01. Would that be an issue??

The ECUs changed each year from 2000-2003 but are all backwards compatible with the engines/vehicles. The big change was in '04 with the 2.2L engine, it should still be compatible with the other engines but I would not recommend interchanging these due to the difference in tuning.
