Default Electrical Problems

I have a Honda S2000 1999
When I took the car out of the shed the power steering was really heavy from the standstill. I noticed that the ABS and EPS was lit up on the dash also the wipers didn't go.
I have had a sensor in the left rear wheel replaced and a diagnostic check run on the car still coming up with electrical fault. I did have a lot of ants over the car a couple of week ago and sprayed them. Can you help with this situation?

You can pull the codes for both the EPS and ABS. Both can be collecting using the blink code, when you short pin 9 to ground in the ODBII port.

EPS
  1. short pin 9 to ground in the ODBII port.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to on
  3. The blinking frequency indicates the DTC. The DTCs are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. Add the long and short blinks together to determine the DTC.
The system will not indicate the DTC unless these conditions are met:
  • Set the front wheels in the straight ahead driving position
  • the ignition switch is turned on
  • the engine is stopped
  • the SCS circuit is shorted to body ground before the ignition switch is turned on.
ABS
  1. short pin 9 to ground in the ODBII port.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to on without the brake pedal pressed (If the pedal is pressed when the ignition is switched on, it will be a clearing mode)
  3. The blinking frequency indicates the DTC. The DTCs are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. Add the long and short blinks together to determine the DTC.
The system will not indicate the DTC unless these conditions are met:
  • the pedal is NOT pressed
  • the ignition switch is turned on
  • the engine is stopped
  • the SCS circuit is shorted to body ground before the ignition switch is turned on.
