Default Electrical tape over CEL

Hi guys - the S2K I bought last week had a piece of electrical tape over the CEL. The seller was up front about it (he purchased it with it on) and I brought an OBD with me which indicated no codes.

Still, I’d like to remove this piece of tape in case something pops up. It is under the “glass” in the dash. Does anyone have thoughts on the best way to get this out? I’d like to be able to get it out removing the least number of pieces possible! Thanks!

So what was it? I'm curious how the light would be on with no codes

I think one of the previous owners had put the tape on to try and hide the light (not sure if it was for themselves or something more sinister). When I checked the OBD, it showed no active codes and one stored code - I think it was P0410 for secondary air injection system. Emissions issue I believe and one hat had cleared. Just glad to get the tape off so I know if anything is abnormal going forward!
