Default Engine Cuts out when reving up in v-tech

Has any one had this problem?

I recently purchased a new stainless dual exhaust for the s2000.When I give it some stick around the 7000rpm mark it would loose power and splutter(flat spot). Almost as if there is not enough fuel going in or a sensor cutting in. This has only happend since I put the new exhaust system on. And the wierd part about it is that once it has happend it won't do it again untill I turn off the car.
It has nothing to do with the car getting warm, I've tried that one.

I starting to believe that it has got to do with the factory computer. I've been told to take out one of the chips and then let the computer re-program it self and maybe that might fix it?

Any one got any idea?

This might be related to the MAP sensor problem a lot of people have. Try taking the sensor off (its easily located and removed/re-installed) and giving it a good whack. However, you said it has only happened once? The MAP sensor is right on top of the throttle body area and it says MAP.

you could also try resetting your ECU, one of two ways, pull the negative terminal on the battery for 30 seconds (however, you will need your radio code if you dont have it for when you re-connect it) Or the backup fuse in the fuse panel.

I had that problem at about 40K miles (don't know what that is in km )

I changed my fuel filter and the problem went away

Thanks guys......I will try all of the solutions one at a time. I don't think it is the fuel filter as it was changed 7K miles ago..........

Keep on drifting
