Default Engine Management Experience + Injector Info

Hey guys I've been reading xvipers list of EMS threads under electronics and I wanted to here from you on your engine management experiences. I have read that some people have problems with the e-manage. Is this true? How would you rate the functionality of the the V-AFC vs. E-Manage. Obviously the AEM EMS is the best choice, has anyone had problems with it? At what point do each of these become needed / where would you step up to the next (modification timeline)?

Secondarily, has anyone changed out their injectors and just bumped up the pressure on a stock displacement motor? How high is agreed to be OK? Does anyone know the limit on the stock fuel rail? I've read their are no "drop in" replacements because of the height of the fuel rail?? What is needed to over come that?

Sorry some of these questions are so general.... My goal is to spin the motor to 10 or 10.5 with a ported head and see what kind of n/a power I can make out of it. I've read that on a 2000 you can get a good 20hp with really good tune with aem.

Not sure by your post what exactly your intentions are.

Don't change injector size or fuel pressure unless you already have a piggyback or standalone ECU with provisions to change injector pulse width. This is needed to tune for safe air/fuel ratio.
