is the "non-smooth" engine noise normal at WOT and high rpms?

i have a fujita cai and q300 exhuast and the engine is strong but on the high cam from 6k+ the engine does not have a smooth/clean note. normal or valves? valves are smooth as silk at idea and normal driving.....

every other condition even WOT on the low cam its clean - it's just up top and at WOT.. with the N1 single it was making an extreem raspy sound, but now with the super quite q300 it sounds like coming from the engine...

 

maybe ur vtec solenoid is effed up? im not sure when vtec kicks in for ap2s but on ap1s vtec kicks in at 6k so if its good on idle and at wot in the low rpms i don't see why your engine would be messed up only at wot at 6+. if urs is a 2007 it might still be under warranty or if you have flash pro maybe the tune effed it up also.

 

A Hondataflashpro issue because of the hardware changes.

still studying this - starting to think its the exhaust or heat shields near the header/tp or tp/mid pipe area. its only seems to happend at wot or maybe when the engine is in the most "torque tilt"postition...
