Hmmm... I'll try that on the weekend.

The car recently had its 100,000km service an the air filter was replaced.

Maybe intake air leak (airbox not closed properly) or like mentioned above air pump leaking?

@s2kotty - spot on, well done. When I take the airbox off, and listen directly above the air filter, its incredibly loud... What causes this, and how can I shut it up... I just had the air filter renew'd?

Whats a 'better-than-stock' airfilter I can replace it with? A KN?

And now for a new question regarding sound.

I've now noticed a loud high pitched buzzing when the ??car fan?? kicks in when the car is idling...I can't hear it when moving, but it is annyoing when idling....
